Have you every dreamed of owning two well behaved, loving and friendly dachshunds? Then meet Charlie and Poppy, our wonderful seniors who are seeking a home together, hopefully in time to share a magical Christmas with their new family..

Charley is a dear old man; everybody loves him. He is ever-ready for a pat, snuggle or an outing, especially if there is an opportunity for a swim. He loves travelling in the car, head out of the window, happily chortling until you arrive at your destination.

Poppy is a the sweetest girl, but apprehensive of newcomers until gently befriended. She is then ready to give puppy kisses, snuggle and receive your adulation. Poppy loves to shadow her family members and her idea of heaven is to sit on that special someone’s lap all day.

While Charlie and Poppy are ideal companions for adults and possibly older school aged children and teenagers, they have little exposure to young children nor busy households.

An ideal home for Charlie and Poppy would be as follows:

Someone is home for most of the day and will include the dachshunds in their daily activities

A garden that is freely accessible, offers interesting smells and nooks for sun baking.

A regular walk and dog friendly outings with the possibility of a swim for Charlie

No cats, small pets or birds.

Adoption Fee $550 for the pair.
